Blatchford District Energy Sharing System 2018 Progress

Yes, Blatchford is a statement. A big part of that statement is putting an emphasis on a more sustainable lifestyle, but how will we help residents do this? With its vision of being one of the world’s largest sustainable communities, how residents and businesses receive their energy is a huge component to reaching that sustainable goal. As a part of Blatchford’s energy strategy, the community will have a District Energy Sharing System (DESS) which will provide the energy for heating, cooling and domestic hot water to residents and businesses. Major milestones were complete on the first stage of the DESS this year. Here’s a quick video to give you an idea of the progress on site!
