Blatchford is about to undergo a growth spurt.
Seven apartment buildings, ranging between four storeys and six storeys, are either in their current stages of development or in the planning stages. Construction has already began on two of them.
These seven low- to mid-rise buildings will add some 700 units to Blatchford, more than doubling the 500 residential units that already exist or are currently under construction.
“We have a number of builders that are planning to bring the first multi-storey buildings to the community,” said Cheryl Mitchell, acting project lead for Blatchford. “And what’s exciting about this is that a number of them are also planning to put retail into the base of the building, bringing mixed-use to the community.”
